He was encouraged to enter a public school in California and the first governor appointee in the state of California. He wants people to know that people with intellectual disabilities have rights and dreams too. Don-Paul “DP” Kahl grew up in Central Pennsylvania and is now performing as a concert saxophonist in Europe and the United States with various ensembles. After completing his Master’s, he fulfilled a dream of studying in Paris. DP now has permanent residence with his boyfriend in Belgium and recently released his debut full-length solo album, Go Within.
